SMS Appraisal was Born Out of Life Experience

For over 46 years, David Eichner has been an appraiser, machinery broker, business consultant, and project manager. During his career, David has built manufacturing plants for major corporations including Union Carbide, designed solutions to manufacturing problems, installed specialized manufacturing cells, and facilitated innovation in defense and aerospace projects.

SMS Appraisal was founded by David Eichner on decades of real-world experience in business and manufacturing. This wide knowledge-base makes SMS uniquely qualified to value industrial and commercial needs at a variety of levels.

David was awarded the designation of Senior Accredited Appraiser by the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) in 2008 and served as the president of the ASA Los Angeles Chapter from 2009 to 2010. He also has served as the vice chairman of the ASA California Chapters Government Relations Committee. He is also a Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) Certified Equipment Appraiser.
